OUTAGE REPORTING

Central Florida Electric Cooperative uses an  automated outage response system for customers wishing to report an outage.  This is an interactive voice response system specifically designed to help CFEC handle and respond to customer power outage calls.

The system uses customer telephone numbers to identify each outage. When you are prompted, using a touch tone phone simply press in the telephone number of the location that is out of power. Please include the area code. Follow the instructions given and the system works great. Pressing 1 will automatically print an outage ticket in the Dispatch Center, giving the dispatcher your location, account number, name & other information necessary to restore your service. Pressing 2 will allow you to leave a message if you know the cause of your outage. If you press 1 without putting in a telephone number, please leave a message stating your name, telephone number and account number.

The system is smart and recognizes when you have more than one account (if it is the same telephone number for the accounts). It will prompt you to leave a verbal message to the dispatcher. Please leave the account location number of the account that is out. That is all the information we will need to locate you.

It is very important that we have your correct telephone number for the location that you are reporting out.
