What are Capital Credits?

Members of CFEC receive the portion they invest in the cooperative through capital credits. These monies are returned to members through credits on bills or by check. The board of trustees has the authority to decide if capital credits will be released to members based on the net margin CFEC had that year. If a member decided to disconnect their service with CFEC, their capital credits are still reserved from the time when they were a member. If a member moves outside of the CFEC service area we will attempt to send the credit to the member at the address we have on file.
