At Central Florida Electric Cooperative (CFEC), keeping our members informed is a top priority. Whether it’s storm season, routine maintenance, or important cooperative news, timely updates help you stay prepared and connected. That’s why we’re introducing our new text notification service, designed to deliver essential information straight to your phone!
To receive outage alerts and location-specific messages, CFEC must have your current cell phone number linked to your account. These messages are tied to your service location, so if your number isn’t on file—or isn’t up to date—you may miss important updates affecting your area. Members can confirm or update their phone number by calling Central Florida Electric Cooperative at 352-493-2511 or by logging into the CFEC Member Portal at https://billing.cfec.com/mcp/.
How It Works
CFEC text notifications come from the number you know and trust: 352-493-2511. We recommend saving this number in your contacts so you recognize important messages when they arrive.
If you prefer not to receive text notifications, unsubscribing is simple—just reply STOP, QUIT, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or END at any time.
By opting in to CFEC Text Alerts, you agree to receive SMS messages from Central Florida Electric Cooperative (CFEC) related to your account, power outages, restoration updates, storm alerts, planned maintenance, and cooperative announcements. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to cancel at any time. Consent is not a condition of purchase. View our Privacy Policy and SMS Terms and Conditions.
